Amber Leadership Program
A. Program Outcomes:
1. Ardent in compassion: Nurture leaders who are other-centered, possessing a character of compassion. They see their mission as reaching out to other people.
2. Model in community: Develop a community of leaders who desire and practice a sense of accountability and responsibility to each other, allowing people to speak into their lives. The team will have a deep sense of pride, willing to embrace diversity, debating issues candidly and yet serving together for the common good.
3. Brokenness in spirit: Leaders who are true to life, honest about our flaws, struggles and limitations and willing to manage these areas and at the same time, focusing on each other’s strengths to deliver excellence in our work. They are willing to keep growing themselves in character, calling, and competence.
4. Excel in creativity: Leaders who are crazy about ideas and be creative in pushing the boundaries to deliver great initiatives and programs.
5. Real in leadership: They will be leaders who lead by example and will walk their talk, allowing their lives to be transformed and changed.
B. Unique Features

 

Program 
1. Attend a three-year life-changing program.
2. Participate in mentoring program whereby these young leaders will be matched with mentors who share their passion and provide support in their growth.
3. Provide leadership in an ongoing development project that will deal with social justice and the restoration of human dignity.
4. Build an ongoing community and friendship among the participants and between them and the larger Amber Initiative’s network
5. Allow participants to explore and manage their own flaws, struggles and weaknesses in constructive ways.
6. Focus on and deal with social justice and restore human dignity issues and challenges.
7. Develop capacity and competence to develop social justice and human dignity programs.

Target Group
1. Young leaders between the ages of 18 – 25.
2. Have passion and ideas for social justice and human dignity.
3. Willingness to participate fully in the ALP three-year program, five retreats, projects and mentoring relationship.
4. Participant will have to be endorsed by an organization.
* Candidates will be interviewed personally to assess their eligibility for this program.
